Simple Bean Dip

This is an absurdly simple bean dip. Before tasting, resist the urge to add other things such as onions or capers. Many people have found it quite satisfying with only balsamic vinegar.

Cooked kidney beans or black beans, canned or homemade
Balsamic vinegar
Hand-held potato masher, or fork
Plate

Drain cooked beans. Place them on the plate and mash with the potato masher. Stir in enough balsamic vinegar to form a spreadable paste. Set aside until needed.

Spread on crackers. Or place in a bowl, thinning with water as necessary, for guests to dip with crackers or chips.
