For Kids and Teens
Berkeley has a wide array of children’s clothing and toy stores.
Among other things, it is a happy hunting ground for grandmothers.
For some, concentration on either area offers a special advantage. A
number of children’s stores and women’s clothing stores all occur in
reasonable walking distance. So one trip can produce clothes for child and mama
both. (Men are out of luck, here or just about anywhere in Berkeley.
Talk about discrimination. Husbands can drive off to a wine or outdoor
equipment store while
mama shops for herself and the kids.)

Gourmet Ghetto Area
