Oddlots Wine Shop
Oddlots is not as well known as Kermit Lynch,
but the shop is similar, although with lower prices. Proprietor Morgan
Miller, like Lynch, specializes in imported wines not available most
other places. This is not surprising, as he was with Kermit in the early
days. His shop is four years old.
Here you will find genuine bargains,
surprisingly plentiful. Our staff, which only recently became aware of
Oddlots, is still working hard to get its arms around this inventory.
(Oh, the travail of the Berkeley wine-enthusiast; labour as we might,
our work is never done!)
In addition to offering distinctive,
little-known, and reasonably priced wines, Morgan Miller is superb at
describing them. His monthly mailer is short enough to read through, and
an excellent means of acquiring a basic knowledge of the wines of
France, Italy, Spain, Chile, and more.
